Services

I provide telehealth therapy for individuals and families across Vermont who are navigating challenges related to mental health, substance use, and recovery. My work focuses on helping people understand patterns that may feel difficult to change and developing practical tools for lasting stability.

Many of the people I work with appear high functioning in many areas of life but still feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected internally. Therapy offers a structured space to slow down, gain insight, and begin moving toward meaningful change.

My approach draws from evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and family systems work.

Individual Therapy for Mental Health

I provide individual therapy for adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and other mental health concerns. Many clients come to therapy when something in their life no longer feels sustainable, even if they are still managing work, relationships, and responsibilities.

Individual therapy can help with:

• Anxiety and chronic stress
• Depression and loss of motivation
• Trauma and past experiences that continue to affect the present
• Relationship challenges and attachment patterns
• Emotional overwhelm and burnout
• Life transitions and uncertainty

Together we work to understand the patterns that keep problems in place while developing practical strategies to support lasting mental health.

Therapy for Substance Use and Recovery

I also specialize in working with individuals navigating substance use, addiction, and recovery. This may include people currently struggling with substance use as well as those who are already in recovery and looking for continued support.

Therapy for substance use may include:

• Understanding patterns related to alcohol or drug use
• Strengthening motivation for change
• Preventing relapse and maintaining recovery
• Addressing underlying mental health concerns
• Building a stable and meaningful life in recovery

My experience includes working with individuals both during active struggles with substance use and following higher levels of care such as residential treatment or intensive outpatient programs.

Therapy for Families Affected by Addiction

Substance use and mental health challenges often affect the entire family system. Family members may feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or unsure how to support a loved one while still protecting their own wellbeing.

Family-focused therapy can help with:

• Understanding addiction and recovery
• Setting healthy boundaries
• Improving communication within families
• Supporting a loved one after treatment
• Navigating conflict and rebuilding trust

This work may involve meeting with individual family members or multiple family members together depending on the situation.
